One of the downsides to training people in professional speaking is that I’ve had to instruct myself to just sit back and enjoy what a speaker is saying rather than analysing their presentation.

It seems everyone with a product to sell or service to offer is now on the speaking trail. Which makes a lot of sense as it gets you in front of more people who might want your product or service. The problem is though, many of these speakers come to me for coaching after they have realised (and were disappointed) the presentation they gave didn’t produce the results they were after.
