A lot of people don’t realise how every detail of your life contributes to your story.
Even the ordinary, everyday moments can create connection and impact.
Back at home, I’m surrounded by wildlife.
My backyard opens onto parkland, and daily life includes conversations with my magpie friends, spotting geckos and lizards wandering through, and occasionally hearing possums thumping around on the roof or ceiling.
My tropical garden, established palms, and pool view create a calm sanctuary, where tree tops stretch as far as the eye can see.
This is part of my story. It shows who I am.
Someone who loves connection, nature, and community, but also values quiet reflection at home.
It may not seem exciting at first, but it’s relatable.
Most people have these small, meaningful details that shape them.
The lesson? Everyone has a story.
Everyone has aspects of their life — from routines to passions — that can be shared in a way that connects with clients, colleagues, and audiences.
What matters is defining why your story is relevant to what you do and why you do it.
“The stories we tell ourselves and others create connection, meaning, and impact.”
3 Takeaways for Sharing Your Story:
- Look at the everyday: Even small details can reveal values and personality.
- Connect your story to your purpose: Show how your experiences shape your work.
- Share what matters: Focus on authenticity over impressiveness. People respond to real stories.
